AQUARIA @ KL CONVENTION CENTRE

First time berjalan melalui terowong ini.

Itupun terlalu perlahan. Sampai didepan Kenny Rogers, petugas Aquaria memarahi pengunjung dalam barisan kerana tidak mematuhi arahan. Arghhh....pepagi nie dah nak marah2. Dah le beratur punye lama, nak duduk pun takde tempat. Nak salahkan sapa, kalau dah semua orang bergerak mengikut orang depan?

Pengunjung dalam barisan dipecahkan. Ntah ikut berapa orang.

So tak le teruk sgt bertolak-tolak. Melihat satu aquarium ke satu aquarium. Mengambil gambar dibenarkan tanpa penggunaan flash.

Kelihatan macam ikan air tawar. Seolah-olah berada didalam sungai pula.

Beberapa meter sebelum mencecah kedai Tower record. Entah pukul berapa mereka dapat masuk kedalam.

Bermulanya 1 September, harga tiket Aquaria adalah seperti berikut:

Source: www.klaquaria.com

  • Petugas Aquaria hilang sabar dan marah-marah (kalau tengok PC Fair lagi maut, at least pengunjung kat sini beratur elok2)

Tunggulah bila demam 'Aquaria' dah reda, bolehlah pergi sekali lagi.....

Me, my mom and my dad went to the AKLEH highway and joined the rest of the Malaysian there to watched the fireworks. I prepared my camera and tripod before we drove to the place. It was crowded but I managed to secure a good place. I was more expecting good firerworks from KLCC but it turned out to be so low, hardly visible from the highway. If only I knew the fireworks in Bukit Bintang will be that good and that long, I would have been there. But these photos below were captured from an unknown fireworks which was very nice and came from behind us, somewhere in Hulu Klang area. I wonder who sponsored the fireworks...

P/s: I used a pre-setting of fireworks which is available in my Lumix menu. If sets via manual mode, the setting will be F4 - 1/10.

SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI KEMERDEKAAN MALAYSIA YANG KE 48

my bestfriend, Zura gave birth to a baby girl yesterday at KL General Hospital. Both mother and baby are healthy. The baby's weight is 3.5kg and she has the combination of her mother and father's look especially on the eye, nose and lip. I went to visit her yesterday at 6pm and took some photos of the baby. Name? Unknown....should be something like Nur Aisyah. Coz the parent were expecting a boy but they are happy with the new family member.....

Congratulation to both, Che Wan and Zura.....

Faham2 ajelah tempat baru, lepas 3,4 tahun...gahlah ia.
Kolej kediamannya berbentuk apartment. Ya, kene sewa. Bukan duduk free ye. Sebulan RM 200 kalau tak silap. Tapi cukup selesa. At least tak le masa zaman sherrina di UTMKL dulu, menyewa di Pangsa Murni (apartment yg byk kenangan), 10 org bersesak2.....dorang nie cuma 5-6 org shj. juga 3 bilik tido dan 2 bilik air. Yg best tu, siap fully furnish. Katil, almari, meja makan, sofa, meja study. Sherrina kata kat adik2 sherrina, "Kalau kelian tak blajo pandai2, tak tahu le apa aku nak kata".

Selain tu, facilities lain seperti dewan makan (mahal gak le makanan disini), futsal court (wow...bestnya.

My temporary home

My aunt was admitted to Ampang Puteri since Tuesday to undergo a surgery to remove a fibroid (size of a coconut) from her tummy and all her inner organs (she will not be able to get pregnant after this). Since my sister and brother are already in their campus in Batang Berjuntai, Selangor, the responsibilities to stay with her in the hospital falls on me and my mom.

My aunt is a very lucky person for she has been quite healthy until she had this operation which is her first ever operation (she's 51) and the biggest lucky is she has a medical insurance to cover all the expenses. That's how she can afford to get a better treatment at a private hospital. Being the youngest daughter in family, she's quite terrified and nervous bout this idea of cutting her tummy open, remove an organ and staying in the hospital. The first and last time I had to sleep in the hospital was when my brother was admitted to HKL on the first day of Syawal couple of years ago due to denggi fever. Even staying in a private hospital is not that comfortable as I expected.

Day 1 , she was given a room with 2 bed. Meaning, she has to share with another patient and trying to catch a sleep with a new-born baby crying besides you is not an easy task. On wednesday, I took a day off from the office and stayed with her accompanied by a laptop and a digicam (luckily I have these gadgets with me or it will be damn boring). I managed to watched 2 movies that I rent from Ezy Video (Kiamat Sudah Dekat - best giler and Dr Seus, Cat in The Hat) before I left the hospital after my aunt was sent to the operation theater. After the operation, we managed to get a single room and immediately packed all our stuff and change room.

If only I waited for another 30 minutes, I might be able to snap the fibroid that the doctor taken out. I did begged my mom and my aunt to ask the doctor if I can get into the operation theater to take photos but they thought it's the most silly idea (dang, I am not afraid of blood....I fancy CSI and ER. If only I have a better Biology teacher, I might be pursuing my study in medical).

My activities during the stay in the hospital will be watching as many movie as I can (just rented The Bone Collector-had been wanted to watch this before and XXX: The Next Level), listen to mp3, sleep and relaxing myself before the new semester begin. The doctor said that she will be discharged next Wednesday, that means I have to spend my weekend in the hospital. Must bring more comforter and bantal kekabu. The air-cond is so cold.

View from the room's window. I can see traffic flowing through MRR 2.

That's the petrol station at the junction and Flamingo Hotel

The Ampang Point, among the busiest business park in Selangor. Finding a legal parking space in here is a nightmare. Almost impossible.

e-Browse newspaper@ Blue Hyppo

I know this e-Browse thing has been in the net for ages but only now I started to think a way to reduce my budget on reading materials and I found a way to cut down my newspaper budget by subscribe to e-Browse newspaper and read it online. If you have no idea what I'm babbling about, watch tv and look for the ads where a malay guy sitting in the stadium reading newspaper at his laptop while the rest were cheering the football team. That's the e-browse thiggy.

So, I started by trying out the free online newspaper in The Sun (
http://epaper.sun2surf.com/) and I find it really interesting. At least I don't have to fight for free copy at the 7-Eleven. Then, I went to the e-Browse website, hosted by Blue Hyppo (http://ebrowse.bluehyppo.com) and register membership which is free.

Price for each publication can be found here (
http://ebrowse.bluehyppo.com/e-b_price.asp) and I subscribe to The Star which cost me RM 20 per month (cheaper by RM 16 compare to the hardcopy newspaper). Let's see if the service really good and able to replace the crispy newspaper. Good thing bout this is, I don't have to fork out RM 36 per month to but The Star everyday, no more dirty hand while reading it, no more paper cutting (I can crop any article that I like and keep it in softcopy) and my little contribution helps to save the trees. Oh yes, if you subscribe, you don't have to rush to read it everyday to fully utilize your membership. You can still read 7 days newspaper in the archive. Cool!

Here's screenshots of my e-browse newspaper:

There's a toolbar at the top to help you navigating the newspaper

Cool, I still get to see every advertisement just like the real newspaper.

The good side of this e-browse:

1. No more dirty hands while reading it

2. No need to have a high pile of newspaper outside your house waiting for the old newspaper man to come and bought all your junks.

3. Helps to save the environment, less tree cutting (if many people stop buying hardcopy newspaper)

4. You can clipped any favourite article or advertisement and save in the computer

5. You can read up to 7 days or previous newspaper in the archive

6. Cheaper

7. Load faster if using broadband

8. Besides newspaper, you also get multimedia informations in audio and video clips

9. Payment method is easy. Either it add up into your streamyx bill or pay via credit card

10. It has a feature where the paper flips like a hardcopy newspaper. Avoid paper cutting (ouch!)

The downside of this e-browse is:

1. You can't read it offline

2. Slower connection means it will takes more time to load the newspaper (luckily my broadband is unlimited)

3. Can only be used in Internet Explorer and I believe pc operating Windows OS.

Malaysian Idol's Perfomance @ The Curve

I heard bout this event through the radio and coincidently my tuition class on that day was cancelled. So, I called up a friend and we headed to The Curve at Mutiara Damansara at 12pm, last Saturday. We had lunch at the food court. The food was good (my fav is the western roast chicken but darn the delicious curry mee's stall was close. It was damn delicious) Anyway, I'm not a big fan of MI but the main reason why I want to be there is to practice on photographing live performance show. This is a great chance. The show started at 3pm, I was already nearly at the front stage holding my camera. Saiful from MI Season 1 performed as the opening. One thing I learn from this experience is, if you stand too near to the stage you hardly can hear anything. I mean, there's only loud sound but it's hard to understand what was it about. It took me few minutes to guess what was Saiful actually saying and the song he sang. So, if I came there only to watch the show, it will be a great waste of time. Unless I choose to watch from the above floor. My finger keep snapping the picture. It was quite difficult than fashion show shooting coz it is hard to guess when the singer gonna stand still. Anyway, here's some photos from the event.

It was hard to figure out what song he sang

I heard that Nita used to perform in pub. No wonder she knows how to control her voice and body movement in such event. I managed to capture few good pics of her. It was also easy to guess the song that she sang.

This rockers was singing with full energy till I can't catch the song till he finished it.

This cute and friendly fella sang quite well. I guess the MI did polished his skills.
